About US
Kari Guidry, Owner/ABCDT-L2
Dog training isn't just a job for Kari, it is her passion, her joy in life, and she thrives when working with dogs and their owners giving them the tools they need to develop and maintain a healthy enjoyable relationship. Kari works well with all breeds, sizes and personalities, but specializes in the larger breeds such as Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terriers, Rottweilers, and Labradors.
Kari has been training dogs since 2009 in the Manteca/Stockton area. She was an apprentice with a local trainer and a Sirius Puppy Training Assistant before becoming an official Sirius instructor.
Professional development is important to Kari, and she is always looking for opportunities to expand her expertise.
In 2016 Kari became a Certified Dog Trainer through Animal Behaviour College (ABC) and in 2023 she started a new adventure as a certified Pet Tech Instructor teachiing Pet Frst Aid and CPR.
Additionally, Kari is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and is Fear Free Shelter certified.

Stephanie Hays
Stephanie has loved animals since she was a child and would seek out neighbors with dogs so she could visit and play with them. It seemed even those dogs that were cautious or nervous around others enjoyed Stephanie’s company. As a teenager, Stephanie helped with the family dog, and was the sole person responsible to work with and take the dog to local obedience classes.
As an adult, through fostering and rescue, Stephanie has had the opportunity to have multiple different breeds come through her home. She had one particularly difficult foster that made her seek out the help of a trainer and through this partnership with Kari and Bone-a-Fide, Stephanie found a passion for dog training and helping others achieve their dreams for their dogs.
Personally, she is drawn to the bully breed and has 4 bully breed dogs in her home. She is continually working with them on obedience, proper manners at home and in the public, sports, and scent work; and has recently applied to be in her first scent trail with her dog Jack!
Additionally, they all love camping, hiking, and kayaking. Stephanie is currently the Lead Trainer for the Lathrop puppy classes, Ceres monthly workshops, and basic obedience classes. She has some ideas and wants to expand classes that are being held in Ceres….STAY TUNED for EXCITING things to come!
Currently, Stephanie is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid, a CGC Evaluator, and is expanding her knowledge through seminars, online workshops. She is working to become Shelter Fear Free and CPDT-KA certified.

Kim Ingram
Kim has worked at a couple of shelters in the San Joaquin County area and is currently a Manager at a Veterinary Hospital in Tracy. She has always had a passion for animals. Kim enjoys working with all different types of personalities, but behavioral management is where she excels. She is working towards achieving her behavioral certification within the next year through educational courses and hands-on experience. Kim has been with the Bone-a-fide team since 2019. Her certifications include Shelter Fear Free and PET CPR/First Aid.
Anna Claussen
Anna considers herself fortunate she had the opportunity to grow up on a ranch just outside the city in Livermore, CA. It was there she learned how to ride and care for horses, goats, dogs, cats, snakes and more. For a while, her family even had a full herd of reindeer! She always remembers from early on catching wild animals in need of rescue, and bringing them into the house to be cared for. Those experiences are where Anna believes her true love for animals of all types really started. Anna's first dog out on her own was a Siberian Husky, named Dallas, and she immediately took her to training and enjoyed teaching her good behavior and some great tricks. After adopting Dallas, she ended up getting a job at the animal shelter and worked there for almost 2 years.
Anna's love of animals never went away as she now has a full house with 3 dogs, 3 cats, and some other small critters along with her husband and 3 kids. One of the newest additions came right at the beginning of the Covid outbreak when Anna's parents' dogs had puppies. And to no surprise, one found a permanent home with Anna and her family. It wasn't until after the lockdowns ended that Anna realized she needed some help with their socialization around other people and animals. So, Anna signed up her dogs with Bone-a-fide Dog Training. The training went so well, and she enjoyed working with dogs so much, she started volunteering with Bone-a-fide. Anna now has a "Pro Dog Trainer" certificate through Absolute Dogs™ and is now a trainer herself with Bone-a-fide. Anna said, "it is through the mentorship and guidance she received from Bone-a-fide, she has grown to appreciate the vast differences and training styles in each dog she meets". Anna love's what she does and says "it has truly been an inspiring journey so far, and she can't wait to meet new families and their furry friends".
Dog Trainer Trainees and Assistants
Victoria Shafer, Trainee
Victoria has been a dog lover all of her life. When her mom adopted a pair of dachshunds that not only had special needs, but also anxiety and aggression, Victoria sought out trainers to help her learn how to help them. Working with these two, she was able to make great strides in their behavior. After moving to Stockton in 2015 she continued helping her mom on the weekends as well as doing pet sitting, dog walking and other dog related jobs.
Three years later, Victoria adopted her own dog, Daisy. Starting off as an Emotional Support Dog, she began to train Daisy as an owner-trained Service Dog. She found guidance from different trainers, research, reading plenty of books and asking questions.
In 2019, she began fostering and working further with dogs. She fell in love with working with rescue dogs. A year later, Daisy was attacked and became dog selective, and because of this she had to be washed from service work. Since Daisy could no longer work, Victoria sought out trainers, classes, and activities her and Daisy could partake in. Through this she found a love for dog training and started her journey of becoming a dog trainer.
Victoria continues training with Daisy, and her three other dogs, Lilo, Kodak, and Toby. Victoria is continuously learning at home through reading, research, and courses. Victoria also works with various trainers to hone her skills and learn about various training methods. She does agility classes with Lilo, and is taking online service dog training courses.
She helps in group classes, and at private lessons. Victoria especially loves working with puppies, and working dogs. She is certified in Pet CPR/First Aid and does dog walking, and pet sitting as well. Bone-a-Fide Dog Training has played a big part in her growth as a dog trainer, and as a dog owner. Victoria’s goals are to become a dog trainer that specializes in puppy and service dog training, along with gaining more skills in agility.

Hello, I am Chrissy Rodieck and behind me is Cocoa. I have been a dog lover all my life. For the last twenty years I've owned terriers but have yet to find a dog or breed I don't like. I decided to become a dog trainer as a way to keep dogs out of shelters.
